Welcome to Duane's Drawings Blog page.......Where Zentangles live... (only 138 days left until Providence, RI for CZT #28. Yaaaaaaaay).
Here we are on Jan 30, 2017 doing the Diva Challenge #301. I can understand how the Blogspot works but trying to do this on Instagram just blows my mind trying to figure it out, so I won't be doing that method. Anyway, here is my entry for this week's challenge in the format of a Duo-Tangle with Paradox (now, that is one tangle I understand), and Diva Dance (I don't understand that one at all...I'm not much of a dancer anyway). But I tried. Here it is below on a 3Z Tile.
Let me know what you all think about this because this is all a learning experience.
Thanks,
Duane.
Well I think your tile works very well and no-one would guess you were anything but an expert with Diva Dance.
ReplyDeleteI think this works goood! :)
ReplyDeleteWe can't draw " mistakes" in the Zentanglemethod, everything is fine. When a tangle is a bit different than the original pattern, you can say, you have made a variation...I like that vision.
ReplyDeleteI'm fond of these 3Z tiles and you have made a wonderful composition on this tile!
Apparently you don't need to be a dancer to create something beautiful ;-) Well done!
ReplyDeleteGreat 3Z tile! I like how you used Diva Dance for the frame. I used to have trouble with Diva Dance too.... I was trying to make it too perfect, too uniform. Once I let go and made fewer, irregular shaped black spots, I felt it worked better for me. I am happier with my Diva Dance now. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely tile.
ReplyDeleteI do like the way you did the Paradox in the middle and put the Diva Dance on the outer edges, Duane. I almost never do Paradox in any way but a single, so this is extra nice!
ReplyDelete"No mistakes in Zentangle", let's not forget that when we are not really happy with out work. Diva Dance as a frame is beautiful here.
ReplyDeleteWonderful tile :-)
ReplyDeleteI like the fact that you used a 3Z tile for this challenge. It's beautifully done. I've had the same problem with Diva Dance in the past, but I think I must have watched the video a half dozen times to see how Rick was drawing it before I attempted it. I love the way you used it as a frame around the Paradox. :)
ReplyDeleteNeat idea to use a 3Z tile to do this challenge. I like the way that you combined them. Great tile!
ReplyDeleteYour Paradox is very precise. Diva Dance can be challenging but just have to let go and let the pen do its thing. That and just keep doing it.
