TANGLE BLOG.......Where tangles live and play
This Blog is done by Duane Anderson, CERTIFIED ZENTANGLE TEACHER. Want to attend a class in the Portland, OR metro area? Call or email (look in my profile for email address and phone number).
This is my response to guest Diva, Jeanette Clawson. She showed us how to make a plate on 4 tiles. I just did 1 tile and you can imagine the other three because I would just be making the exact same design to make the plate, (and I am late getting this 1 tile up anyway).
I made this tile using 4 different Fragments from the Primer; T-6, D-4, J-6, and G-6 (these are in order from the outside ring inward to the center.
Looking for more of my work? Just scroll down my blogs. I have put up quite a few of the tiles I have been working on lately.

One was enough for me too, Duane. I penciled the string on all of them, but once I finished one, I was done! Good idea to play with fragments. I have been ignoring them and probably should look more closely at them one of these days. This looks great!
ReplyDeleteVery nice use of different fragments, good balance and contrasts.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I only finished one. I wish I could do some 'mirroring' like Ria Matheusen. I like your plate!
ReplyDeleteIt didn't occur to me to use fragments and when I see them here i see them in a whole new way. nice work, Duane.
ReplyDeleteI did four plate fragments, but I thought we were supposed to use different tangles on each plate piece, so my "plate" looks odd. I need to dig out my copy of the primer to give fragments (and reticula) another try based on your success in using them. I did scroll down to look at some of your other work. I quite like the "nymphs" with the blue centers.

Patterns work nicely together Duane.
