ZENTANGLE ART

--"TANGLING, THE HEART OF ZENTANGLE, WORK FOR BOTH THE ARTIST AND THE ADMIRER OF ART"--.

Hi all.  Here is my entry for the Diva Weekly Challenge #165.  Camelia by Anne Marks.  This is a UMT challenge and so it looks like Anne invented this one way back in 2012.  That's a long time to wait for your art to come up for everyone to see.  Anyway, here is my version of it and I say that because mine is different, I guarantee that since I found myself making a huge mistake while drawing it.  But, as we are told by Rick and Maria, there are NO mistakes in Zentangle, just opportunities for new and different tangles to emerge......so here is my emergence of my mistake and I do appologize to Anne for messing up her tangle somewhat but I followed our leader's advice and went with it; mistake and all.

Duane's Challenge for #165
I do invite all to critique it and comment.  I like the comments, good or bad, that's how we learn by our peer's comments.  Thanks everyone.

  2. Thanks, Don, I appreciate that comment. I was looking at that afterward and thinking that I made that but didn't think it would go over as an object by itself since that is a combination of two parts of the tangle and then I was wondering if I could make it a separate tangle....so much can happen when you take down the barriers and let it all fly to the wind while tangling.

  3. I like the flowing edge and the "star" Camelia in red in the center.

    1. Thank you, very much, Gloria for your kind remarks of my tile. Yes, Camelia does look like quite the "star" doesn't she. I like that.

  4. The center does a great "pop" out. I like it and correct there are no mistakes in zentangles. Wish my mistakes looked that good.

    1. Thank you, Pat for your observation of the "pop out", I hadn't really noticed that it did that until you mentioned it, but I see it now too.

    1. Thank you so much, Anne. I appreciate you looking at my work of your tangle and commenting. I think your's are always pretty great too. I was just at your blog site and noticed the drawing of tangles at the top of the page and I really love the Aquafleur as the first thing that hits the eye, that is so flowing and then you have included the sparkle near the top of each ribbon that just really kicks it off. Great job there.

  6. Hi and thanks for commenting on my tangle entry. As it happened, just after I had drawn my border with pencil, I had just stopped a second to look at the renaissance brown tile as if looking for inspiration and at that instant I knew what I wanted to draw and it was the center that you see; but what is odd to me is that it wasn't until that instant I didn't know what to do and it hit me like lightning. So you just never know how it will come out not even until pen hits the paper do you know sometimes.
