Welcome to Duane's Drawings Blog page.......Where Zentangles live...
(only 131 days left until Providence, RI for CZT #28.  Yaaaaaaaay).

Here is my entry to the Diva Challenge #302..HAMADOX.....(I love that name because I am a "Ham" Radio Operator as another hobby of mine; I have several).  This is a great ZIA Tangle to play with as I have never before done Hamail by "Akua"(Tina Hunziker).  I play with Paradox quite a bit and further down this page I will post some of my efforts with Paradox by Rick Roberts.  For this week's challenge in using these two tangles combined together was quite a different experience for me, I found myself really enjoying all the fancy curves and the way they all came out.  This brings out a whole new creative desire in me to do more of this kind of work.  Anyway, here is my version of "Hamadox" by Diana Schreur.

As always, let me know what you think and add any things you think I could have done to make it better.  Thanks,
Duane.

This one is for "Joey's Weekly Challenge" for Feb 6, 2017.

Here are some other ones I have been working on this past week, made from all kinds of tangles.

I like to play with Paradox and have done so at length.  Here I have a few examples.

  1. Great tiles Duane, I love how you doubled the lines inside the paradox part of hamadox. The heavy lines of the hamail part makes the drawing popup and center of the attention. Well done :)

  3. Welcome Duane! You are a busy tangler, I'm so glad that you joined my challenge this week. I hope to see you often! Your Festune tile reminds me of the snow that has been falling here and piling up. Very organic with the Icanthis too. There are a lot of difficult tangles here, nicley done!

  4. Very nice pieces to really take the time to ponder. I love the simple lines behind the Hamadox. It's amazing sometimes how something very simple can really make a difference in a tile.

  9. Love the festune one, with them drifting down from on high. Very relaxed and dreamy.
