This tile is for DC334, this week for the Diva's Weekly Challenge.
These are a couple tiles I did using N'zeppel. Sorry for the lack of chatty talk the last several weeks but have been having some sick days along with doctor's appointments and today, I had to visit with my Ophthalmologist for my yearly Diabetes checks at which time, of course, he dilated my eyes...so for about 6 hours I had to wear my sunglasses over the top of some plastic dark lenses they gave me to protect my eyes out in the world. I came home and slept for 3 hours. I couldn't drive with all that going on and my wife had to take me in for this test and with her MS, her responses aren't always the best, so it was a fun day. Last Friday I had to go see Orthopedics people and the doctor there said I need an operation on my right knee to repair some torn ligaments, so on this coming Friday, I will go under the knife for that. Don't ya just love older age watching your body go way ahead of your mind...my mind says I'm still young but my body says, hold on old man, you can't do things younger people do.
Anyway, here's my tiles for this week. Enjoy my N'zeppel world and Zentangle N'zeppel with TranZending Z.

I have been doing a bit of drawing this past couple of weeks as I have discovered the use of Opus tiles and I find I like them much more than the little 3.5 inch tiles. There is a lot more room to express my art and I like that.
Your Crazy 'nzeppl tiles are wonderful Duane :-)
ReplyDeleteNice work, Duane! I especially love the tranZending Z, great work!
ReplyDeleteGreat tiles Duane. Love the tranZending Z. Good luck with your surgery.
ReplyDeleteI hope the surgery and recovery go well, Duane. Sounds like you may have a lot of tangling time ahead of you. I like your crazy 'nzeppels and admire your courage trying tranzending.
ReplyDeleteHi Duane, Hang in there! Sorry you are going thru so much right now. I enjoyed meeting you and chatting at CZT28. Nice job with crazy 'nZepple!
ReplyDeleteI can completely empathize with feeling the quickening pace of physical decline although I find the decline in mental acuity at least as troubling. At least I can still pull off a credible N'Zeppel. Yours is way more than credible. I think you'll be glad to have Zentangle to entertain yourself during your surgery recovery. Best wishes for a successful outcome.
ReplyDeleteBoy, I hear you on that one, Duane. I feel like half my days are spent with doctors or tests. You're lucky that your mind is still young anyway. I'm not too sure about mine anymore, LOL! Good luck with your surgery, and hope you mend quickly. Oh, and nice 'Nzeppel too!
ReplyDeleteThose Nzeppel tiles are beautiful, the first is my favorite. I totally agree with you about aging! Succes with the surgery and recovery.
ReplyDeleteBoth are very beautiful. Nice idea to make a Z in it and I love the zendala.
ReplyDeleteAnd ofcourse i wish you very luck with the operation and a great recovery.
ReplyDeleteMe too wish you luck with the operation.
ReplyDeleteI am a fan of this Tranzending technique and that is why this is my favorite of the two, well done Duane!
OK, gang, I am very appreciative of your kind and lovely comments here. Operation is over and they let me go home this afternoon. I spent several hours resting in bed....and that drove me crazy. The surgery was a success and with the drugs the doctor gave me, I feel great....in between pills. I have to quit being macho a few times and get some sofa time, like now, it's 11:17 pm now and I should be getting to bed soon. By the way....Ria, thank you and its great to see you tranzending, although I remember a couple of months ago you told me you didn't think you could do it. Yes, I will get a lot of time to tangle since I am "laid up" for a little while. I was tangling a lot for a while after Seminar 28 and now I need to get back to it again. Perfect time now. Thank you all for the words of encouragement on my recovery, I love everyone of the comments and you guys....just like at seminar I am so lucky to be known by all you women. At seminar I went to dinner with 120 women every day and didn't get in trouble with my wife, she knew all about it. So now I have all you wonderful ladies to give me well wishes.
